Schneider Cup Float Fly November

Gentlemen,
I do not know if anyone in the Santa Fe Dam Radio Control Modelers (formerly Sierra Madre Radio Control Modelers) remember me or my wife Katie, but we were members and served as President several year in the late 70's and early 80's. It is very gratifying to see the field that Katie and I worked so hard to secure for the club is not only still being used but has expanded. I know that getting three different agencies to agree on the use for RC was very difficult and you and your members have continued to prove your worth for more than 25 years. Congratulations.

I have been asked by my club, the Desert Hawks RC club of Lake Havasu to put together a special reunion to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Schneider Cup Reenactment. Katie and I organized the float fly right after we arrived in Lake Havasu and a couple years later we launched the Schneider Cup Reenactment. Please let your members know of the website I created about Schneider Cup full scale and RC www.schneider-cup.com .

Many of our fellow club members from the SMRCM (now SFDRCM) were an important part of those first few years and I would like to pass on a formal invite to them and all of your members to join us celebrating this historic event.

Besides the London Bridge Seaplane Classic fun float fly, we are having an electric nite fly for small electric and the Schneider Cup reunion with some original posters and t-shirts.

I hope you and all your members will be able to join us. We wish you the very best and hope your October 24th float fly is a great success.

Bob Martin
