Presidents notes
Hello all,
We had a good meeting last night. The nicest happening was the response to the City of Hope Walk A Thon charity event on October 25th. Ed Roberts challenged the group to a matching club donation. The club would match member donations. We received contributions of $310.00 making the total club donation of $620.00, THANKS TO YOU. Ed Roberts will be glad to add to that amount, if you missed this opportunity. We will submit our check to the City of Hope next Thursday the 22nd. You have helped someone's child, parent, relative or friend. Thank you for you generosity. Bert and I had a daughter that was treated for leukemia at the City of Hope and that is how I found this club and flying site.
Thanks to Frank Ross for having Rudy from Airland Hobbies share with use at our meeting last night's and they also donated a gift certificate for our raffle. You will see some of their models at the float fly, including one of their helicopters.
Club October 24th schedule:
Our float fly workers can start at 7:00 am, check with the park entrance personnel, the entrance fee may be waved.
Plane inspections will start as soon as we can get set up,
Pilot's meeting will start at 8:00 am,
Flying starts as soon possible after the pilots meeting.
Sven, our world class chef, will be preparing lunch for a minimal cost.
COME FLY WITH US.
Slow Stick & Glow Fuel Planes:
We plan on another Slow Stick and glow fuel plane fun fly on Saturday October 31st.
We will be adding glow planes to the activities.
Come and try the activities and enjoy the free lunch by our new chef, Dennis Souza.

I am proud to announce that I have received two additional endorsements for my candidacy. The first comes from a well known and respected Free Flight club, the Southern California Antique Model Plan Society. SCAMPS has been around for over 40 years SCAMPS and its members are well known and respected in free flight circles.
The next endorsement comes from the Livermore Flying Electrons. LFE gets their name from the Lawrence Livermore National Lab that is nearby. This is the most pleasant group of modelers you could meet. They welcome new fliers and work hard to have a good relationship with their neighbors.
The endorsements are here. If your club would like to discuss endorsing my campaign, please contact me at this email address and I will answer any questions you may have.
